Honey garlic tofu

I don't know how to describe the taste of this super easy honey garlic tofu, It's just perfect.

Highly recommend you to try it at home!

Description

Highly recommend you to try it at home!

You will need
  • 600 g, medium firm tofu
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 tbsp potato starch/ corn starch
  • Oil for frying
  • 20 g unsalted butter
  • 12 g minced garlic
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1-1.5 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • Chopped green onion and tsp sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions

    Cut tofu into 2 cm cubes or any size you want

    Season with salt and pepper, then add potato starch. Using hands to carefully toss the tofu until it's well-coated.

    Pan fry or deep fry the tofu until golden. Transfer to a plate and set aside.

    Melt butter in a pan and add garlic. Fry until fragrant and the garlic turns lightly yellow, don't over fry it to burn guys!

    Add soy sauce, ketchup, honey and stir to combine. 

    Toss in the fried tofu over medium heat until coated with the sauce. 

    When you toss the tofu, try to be quick, it's only about 30-45 seconds then you turn off the heat immediately!

    Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions. 

    Ready to serve with steamed rice, yummmm!
