I am not a fan of carrot and onion, I never like it. Whenever I eat them, I have to cut them super super small.
But surprisingly this salad recipe, I ate the whole thing and did not smell any carrot and onion in it. How wonderful WOWW!
It's summer and I highly recommend you to try this recipe ASAP, you will love it ðŸ¤
Place beef in a bowl with soy sauce, oyster sauce, ginger, garlic, black pepper and cornstarch. Combine and set aside for at least 20 minutes.Â
Thinly slice onion then soak into an iced bowl, leave it there for 15-20 minutes.Â
Heat a frying pan over medium heat, add 5 tbsp cooking oil. Wait until the oil is ready, add in sliced shallots and cook until it's lightly golden.Â
BECAREFUL when you fry shallots, it's so easy to get burnt bitter taste. Just fry until it's LIGHTLY golden, then transfer to a paper towel lined plate and let it cool down.Â
Just keep about 1 tbsp shallot oil in the pan to cook the beef. We add the marinade beef into the pan and stir quick over high heat. Don't cook too long, it will make the beef more chewy!
Let the beef cool down completely for the salad.Â
Preparing the dressing by combining all the ingredients from the list, stir until sugar is dissolved completely. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl, place cucumber, carrot, bell peppers, drained onion, 1 tsp sugar with 2-3 tsp lime juice. Toss them until combined. Leave it for at least 20 minutes.Â
After 20 minutes, remove all the excess juice and transfer the veggies onto a serving place.Â
Top with beef, fried shallots and chopped peanuts.Â
To serve: Drizzle the dressing and mix well. Enjoyyyyyy!Â
