Quick Summer Saucy Tofu

This quick tofu recipe is making on repeat in my kitchen. Why?

You will need
  • 360 g tofu (cubed)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 2-3 tbsp chopped coriander
  • 1 1/2 tbsp chopped garlic
  • The sauce
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 1 tbsp gochugaru (Korean chili powder)
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp water

    Slice tofu into cubes ( small or big it depends on how you like it )

    Deep fry until the tofu is golden, transfer to a plate.

    Put chopped garlic into a tight strainer, deep fry until golden then transfer to a plate. Set aside.

    Deep fry the 2nd time for extra crispy and transfer to a mixing bowl.

    Making the sauce by combing all the ingredients in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil and cook until the sauce is thickened. Remove from heat and let it cool down.

    Add the sauce into the tofu bowl with coriander, sesame seeds and fried garlic. Toss well and serve over rice!
