Quick shaking beef for dinner

Did I tell you this is one of my favorite homecooked dishes?

Let's give it a try guys, but before that make some steamed white rice ok?

Servings: 2
You will need
    Beef marinade
  • 300g beef flank
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp neutral oil
  • Others
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 cup bell pepper( mixed yellow, red & green), chopped
  • 1/2 large onion, chopped
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Neutral oil for cooking
  • Stir-fry sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp dark soysauce
  • 1 tsp Knorr seasoning powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 2-3 tbsp water
  • 1-2 tbsp hot sauce
  • 1-2 tsp fish sauce
Instructions

    Slice beef into 1 inch large flat pieces and then smash until soft.

    Cut into cubed bite size pieces and place into a bowl.
  3. 3
    Add all the seasoning listed. Cover and marinade for at least 30 minutes.

    Prepare the stir-frying sauce by combining all the ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside.

    Cut the onion & bell pepper into small pieces.

    When things are ready, it's time to make my favorite " shaking beef"
  7. 7
    Add about 1 tbsp cornstarch to the beef bowl and shake/mix to combine.

    Heat a small fry pan over medium high heat, deep-fry the beef until brown.

    Transfer the beef to a bowl and set aside.

    Heat a large skillet over medium high heat, add 1 tbsp neutral oil and saute garlic for 30 seconds.

    Stir in onion & bell pepper for a minute.

    Pour in the sauce and mix well.

    Toss in the fried beef until coated.

    Stir in fried potatoes and toss again for less than 1 minute.

    To serve: sprinkle some black pepper and garnish with spring onion/ parsley!
