This is such a great dish to serve over a bowl of hot steamed rice guys.

Trust me and give it a try!

Cooking Method
Servings 2
You will need
  • 300 g beef (tenderloin, thinly sliced)
  • 4 shallots (minced)
  • 4 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp minced ginger
  • 1/2-1 tsp chili flakes (depends on how spicy you like!)
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (or less)
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1-2 tsp lime juice
  • 20 g basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions
  1. Place beef in a mixing bowl, then combine with garlic, shallots, ginger, chili flakes, cayenne pepper, soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, salt if desired. Rest for an hour. The longer it rest the better the beef is.

  2. Heat a frying pan over high heat, add 1 tbsp oil and the marinade beef. Stir for 2 minutes constantly. Add in basil and stir to combine.

  3. Be careful don't over cook the beef, just until you see no blood on the beef then remove from heat.

  4. Let it cool down a bit and drizzle lime juice all over beef.

  5. Serve over rice, omg I deeply love it 💘

P/s: If you can't eat spicy food, please be aware of the amount of chili in the recipe. Adjust to your liking, I am here for just giving the idea ^^
